Three of the top selling in-pool chaise loungers

Compare how to empty the water from the core of the lounger to remove the loungers from the pool.

1. XGC In-Pool Lounge: It just doesn’t get any easier to empty an in-pool lounger. XGC is quick and easy to empty. Twist open the vacuum valve under the right armrest. Then lift the front leg rest above the pool water line. This action breaks the vacuum seal and all the internal water begins to drain from the open holes throughout the bottom of pool lounge chair. Hold the front end up for about 30 seconds and then most of the internal water is released. Then it’s easy to grab the lounger chair at the opening under the armrest for easy removal from the pool. When lounger is set on the pool deck the open holes on the bottom allow the internal cavity to dry out and prevents internal algae growth.

2. Floating Luxuries Kai Shelf Lounger: The Kai Lounger we tested had been filled by the homeowner 1 month ago. The owner filled the Kai Lounger with a hose (tap water). When emptied this lounger it had lots of algae growing inside…yuck. We can see the discoloration on the inside of the lounger and we can see the algae growth on the screw plugs. Besides the internal algae growth, this lounger was a pain to drain. It’s a bulky design and we spent a long time draining this. It’ll need some pliers to remove the big screw plugs. After draining you should probably leave the screw plugs out and let it try to dry inside.

3. Ledge Lounger Signature Chaise: First you need to flip over this 140+ lbs water filler chaise without scratching it. Then remove the screw plugs with a screwdriver, and awkwardly lift the chaise to try to get most of the water to exit a small hole that isn’t at a corner. We couldn’t get all of the water out. Then we have to screw the plugs back into the bottom so we don’t lose them, but now we just locked the remaining water inside again. Good luck draining the core if you need to put the Ledge Lounger in storage. Ledge Lounger recommends emptying the core once per season and now we understand why it’s not more frequent.
